Cannabis sativa plant morphological and chemical characterization service

The service includes the quantification of cannabinoids THC, CBD and CBN by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and the analysis of morphological parameters (shape and color of cotyledons, morphology and coloration of leaves, coloring and thickness of the stem, length of internodes and depth of furrows, height of the plant, pigmentation of flowers, coloration of seeds).

 

Implementing

This service is aimed at companies, NGOs, private growers and research organisations. The information obtained will serve to complete the description requested by the National Seed Institute (INASE) for the registration of varieties.

 

Frequently asked questions

How do I do if my crops are not in the Mar del Plata area?
The characterization can be made by photographs of each stage to be analyzed of the plants, which will be taken by the contractor, following our indications. For chemical characterization, the sample can be mailed.

How long does the service take?
The service lasts as long as it takes to obtain the complete information of the different stages of the plant that is required to document.

How is the final information accessed?
A performance report shall be submitted and is not certified. The activities associated with the registration of new varieties before the regulatory authority will be in charge of its developer.
